Adapting Land Management Practices to Climate Change

With the COP21 climate change conference in Paris close at hand, the MEPs and countryside stakeholders met to discuss how to ensure the best contributions from European agriculture and foresters. Shifting seasons, migrating species and irregular weather patterns are already impacting the daily life of farmers, who remain dependent on rain and soil to feed Europe. Although significant steps have already been made to reduce Co2 emissions from Europe’s farms in the past decades, it is clear that more must be done.
